Can an DME expert provide clarification on dispensing compression garments in the office as a podiatrist?
I researched the topic and came across this article from CMS:
MM13286 - Lymphedema Compression Treatment Items: Implementation (cms.gov)
Thanks

DPMs within their state scope of licensure can prescribe and dispense lymphedema compression garments to their own patients, subject to the limits as noted in the LCD.
This is no different than their abilty to prescribe and/or dispense other DME items such as t shoes, surgical dressings, AFO's, etc.
The LCD provides limitations on the number of day time and night time garments along with information on the diagnoses which are covered.
